SJPC Celebrated our Annual Benefit Breakfast on Tuesday, April 26th at the Italian Center in Stamford. The event opened with an Invocation, a delicious breakfast buffet, and having the pleasure of hearing the Mayor of Stamford, Caroline Simmons share a few words. Our Director of Fundraising, Barbara Russell, then presented the Catherine A. Klie Award to long-time SJPC friend and supporter, Joanne Gorka, who gave a speech about her involvement with the organization.
Following that, we were honored to have Jimmy Greene as our Keynote Speaker. Jimmy Greene is a Grammy nominated Musician, Parenting Through Tragedy. He shared on the importance of fatherhood, parenting through tragedies, and his use of music as an outlet during difficult times.
The morning was then followed by one of our former clients, Deedee Moses, who shared a moving testimonial about the impact SJPC has had and continues to have on her family’s life, before SJPC Executive Director, Rhonda Neal, closed out the program.
